Recipe

The recipe is based upon a one (1) lb. Serving. If your dog eats 2 lbs. a day, you will double the recipe. If your dog eats 8 oz. a day, you will have enough for 2 days.

FOOD COMPARISON
If your dog is eating 1 (one) can of food (15oz.) then make 1 lb. of recipe. If your dog is eating dry food all dry food is based upon volume, not by weight. Since each commercial dog food is different per cup weight, I will try to give you an approximation.

DOG FOOD RECIPE FOR PUPPIES TO ADULT
For one(1) lb. finished dog food: 2 ozs. of premix 6 ozs. of beef, chicken turkey, lamb, fish, eggs, lentils or soy 7 ounces of water 1 tsp each of flax seed oil, wheat germ oil, sunflower oil
The above yields one pound of finished product. This formula should take about 8(eight) minutes.

DOG FOOD RECIPE FOR DOGS OVER 8 YEARS OF AGE
3 ozs. Of premix 4 ozs. Of beef, chicken, turkey, lamb, fish, eggs, lentils or soy 9 ozs. Of water 1 tsp. Each of flax seed oil, wheat germ oil, sunflower oil.

The Recipe (yields one lb of finished dog food)

1. Boil 7.5 oz of water
2. Add 2.5 oz of Canine Health Pre-mix
3. Let steep for 8 minutes
4. Let cool
5. Add 6 oz of your choice of protein (beef, chicken, turkey, soy, lentils, etc)
6. Add 1 tsp each of flax seed oil, wheat germ oil, sunflower oil (Other oils can be substituted including black currant olive, safflower, canola, borage, hemp, corn or soy)
