Diarsanyl Paste by Ceva Sante is an intestinal protectant to help manage digestive upsets and diarrhea by combining with the mucus to adhere to intestinal mucosa for reduced irritation and fluid loss. Contains a unique component, montmorillonite (smectite clay), which has substantial capacity to adsorb and absorb toxins, bacteria, viruses, enzymes and free radicals 15 times more than kaolin. Its unique paste formula is more effective than pills or powder. Helps stimulate production of mucous from crypt cells, contributing to the renewal of the mucous layer. Viscosity is similar to that of mucous and is maintained even in the face of diarrhea. Provides Na+, Mg+ and K+ ions to aid in compensation for electrolyte loss. Administration: Administer orally for 3 days. (Or as instructed by your veterinarian).Dog Weight:
4 to 15 lbs: 2 ml per day - 1 ml in the morning and another 1 ml in the evening (each graduation of the syringe is 2 ml so give half a depression). 16 to 40 pounds: 4 ml per day (2 ml in the morning and another 2 ml in the evening). Each graduation of the syringe indicates 2 ml. Therefore give one depression of the syringe in the morning and one in the evening.
40 to 66 pounds: 8 ml per day (4 ml in the morning and another 4 ml in the evening). Each graduation of the syringe indicates 2 ml. Therefore give two depressions of the syringe in the morning and two in the evening.
67-132# use 60cc syringe 10 ml twice a day.
Insert the syringe in the corner of the mouth so the syringe tip rests as far back on the tongue as possible. Depressing the syringe piston administers 2 ml of Diarsanyl per graduation.
